Joshua Baughman purchased Van's Tire & Auto Service in the late summer of 2013. In the months that followed, he has had such a warm reception from the community and business has been good. So, Joshua wanted to find a way to give back to the community as a THANK YOU. He came up with the idea for the FREE CAR MAKEOVER as a way to not only say THANK YOU to the community, but to also help someone or a family in need.

He wants anyone in the community to offer up a 250 word essay for either themselves or for someone they know telling him WHY they feel they deserve a free car makeover. He will then read through all the essays and pick a winner, to be announced in the May 10th issue of The Post. They can either email the essay to himat: [email protected] or bring it in person to the shop at 185 Broad Street in Wadsworth.

He is looking for a person or a family that has been doing good for those around them or the community, or even someone that is just a great parent or caregiver that has for whatever reason too tight of a budget to get their vehicle repaired and safe.

What he will be awarding to the winner is: 4 new tires, oil change and alignment, and all repairs that are necessary to get the vehicle to safe operating condition and in good repair status. He will even get the vehicle detailed!
